Video Research

As I was researching different types of PSA videos, I liked the style of a few I came across. I like the more simpler styles where there doesn't necessarily have to be audio, but just a light background instrumental. Since my capstone is about the criminal justice system, it will probably be mostly stats/facts and visuals. Overcrowding Prisons is an example of a video with facts that I thought was decent, although I would make mine more color coordinated and professional-looking. Campaign for Youth Justice is one I particularly enjoyed and will probably try to make mine like because it has facts and audio, but kept it concise and to the point. It gave me the idea to use teens instead of adults since youth justice is so relevant in this time (Trayvon Martin, Michael Brown, etc.). The last video I liked is this Drunk Driving on Prom Night PSA. I like the beginning of the video where they used the countdown like an old movie style. I probably will try to use that in my video.

I played the role as a news reporter, it is a news report mockumentary.

I would probably use a tripod next time, it was kind of shaky.

The easiest part was just acting crazy and fun.
The hardest was recording in the freezing cold.

• The video is about how to be a pull god.
• I was the main person who recorded everything and I was in one scene as well.
• I would use a phone with better quality camera because it turned out really blurry.
• The easiest part was being the videographer, the hardest was directing the others how to act

Feedback on Website

Making the practice website did help while I was making my own website. I still had a lot of trouble remembering and figuring out all the things we did the first time. 

SIGHT

I don't think that we are advanced enough in technology to create something that high tech. Even if we were, an invention of that level would be expensive beyond comprehension, especially if everyone in the country were to have one. There are more important things that we need to take care of before making an unnecessary invention like the SIGHT, which would only further our country's already outrageous debt. I think that type of lifestyle would be extremely creepy. It's like everyone is a robot and a master at manipulation. No one would be genuine or have any real feelings and that's too weird for me.

I think that creating the website is not that hard as long as I have instruction to help me get through it. I don't think I'm at a stage where I could do it by myself, it's pretty confusing.

Goals of the website: Help the audience learn more about psychology and the different branches to help them explore the fields and decide which one better fits their interests.

Audience: Students in high school who are thinking about majoring in psychology, and people who would like to know more about it.
